Hi!

I started Submerged Divewear out of love — for diving, for design, and for the ocean. What began as a passion project quickly turned into a mission: to help fellow divers express their connection to the sea, even when they’re on dry land.

Each piece in our collection is inspired by real encounters — the rush of descending onto a shipwreck, the hush of hovering over a manta ray, the playful flick of a fish's fin as it vanishes into the reef. We design for those who crave saltwater in their veins and silence in their ears.

And we're not here to blend in. We're here to stand up for the ocean — with bold graphics, meaningful slogans, and products made with purpose.

Here's the full version

I’m a Brit currently living in the USA, founder of Submerged Divewear, and a lifelong ocean addict. After years in web design and seven unforgettable seasons working as a dive pro in Thailand, I combined my passion for the sea with my digital background to launch this brand. Submerged is all about sharing the spirit of diving—and protecting the ocean we love.

I’m Matt, founder of Submerged Divewear. I'm a Brit currently living in the USA, though the company is still proudly registered in the UK—where it all began. My journey into diving began back in 2001—and it’s been part of who I am ever since.

Before that, I worked as a webmaster (yep, back when that was an actual job title!). In those days, if it was web-related, we did it all—design, coding, content, the lot. But the ocean kept calling, and eventually, I swapped keyboards for fins.

Throughout the 2000s, I worked as a Divemaster, PADI Instructor, and liveaboard tour guide in Thailand’s Similan Islands. I've dived in some of the most incredible places around the world, and each experience deepened my connection to the ocean. Diving became more than a job—it became a passion and a purpose.

I'm also a dedicated marine conservationist. I try to get involved in as many conservation projects as I can, because I truly believe the ocean is a fragile ecosystem—and the source of everything that's good. It’s not just a place to explore; it’s a world that needs protecting.

Submerged Divewear was born from that love. It’s my way of bringing the spirit of the sea to the surface—through ocean-inspired designs that celebrate diving culture and raise awareness for the marine life we treasure. I work with ethical suppliers and keep sustainability at the core of the brand, so every T-shirt is one small ripple in a much bigger wave.

Thanks for being here. Whether you're a seasoned diver, an ocean lover, or someone who just likes a good tee, you're in good company.
